Dorm Essentials CAV

I haven't heard the best things about the linens from this company but I was wondering if anyone has tried their memory foam mattress topper? Any reviews?

If you know of any better mattress toppers please add your comments about that too.

Loinve, there’s a really nice Bed, Bath and Beyond that’s not far from Grounds. I believe you can order ahead from home so could pick what you liked and then pick up your order at the Cville store. The people there are very nice and helpful; undoubtedly you’ll find you need other things as well.

D had a mattress topper first year but it was relatively inexpensive and she stopped using it pretty quickly!

Do you recommend any specific brands?

My roommate loved those egg crate things…

Are all the dorm beds the same mattresses? I’m in lambeth if that makes a difference.

Loinve, you’re in Lambeth? Are you a a transfer?

By the way, all the beds around Grounds are Twin XL. If you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, I suggest you buy bedding items before you arrive in C-Ville. You can go go Wal-Mart; Target; Bed, Bath & Beyond; etc.

Bigwill, yes I am a transfer. Doesn’t Charlottesville have those stores that you mentioned above?

Cool beanz! And yep, they do. For the best quality + deals, I’d go to Target! BB&B can be pricey. But hey, if money isn’t a problem for you, go to BB&B; it’s right up the road from Lambeth (on Barracks Rd).

Target’s the best. I always go there for dorm supplies

While it’s not twin XL size (not sure if they have them), my bed at home is a twin and has an egg crate foam mattress pad from target. It was pretty cheap but did wonders. The bed was originally part of a bunk bed, so my brother has the other bed that goes in the set, but he doesn’t have the foam topper. He’s always jealous of it.
