So this is a bit embarrassing...but I have ants in my dorm room, can anybody give me advice on how to get rid of them? My current method is squishing them whenever I see one, but that's not working very well...because there's probably a whole colony that I'm not seeing.

put vinegar around the perimeter of your room then random, like, deposits of it in contains that are bowl/cup shaped around where you suspect they are.

All-out biological/chemical/nuclear warfare.

Your RA can put in a work request. Your room needs to get sprayed, you need to stay out for a couple of hours, and then the ants will be gone forever.
In the future, make sure you clean up any food spillage quickly and completely.

Have you never had to deal with ants before? o.O

My mom goes around our house once a month and sprays the perimeter on the inside and outside. You have a small enough space that you should be good with spraying where the walls meet the floor.

I hate ants. They put my sister in the hospital for 5 days and nearly killed her. >_<

^how do you get killed by ants?

Some people are allergic to fire ants.

Anyway, we have an ant problem in our house. One day I came home from school and spent like fifteen minutes killing them all. Five minutes later I go back into the kitchen and there are MORE…!!!

You know how some people are allergic to the venom of bees and can die? Some people are allergic to the venom of fire ants and can die. Or there was that one old man/woman (forget) who fell asleep on a bench, was bit hundreds/thousands of times, and died from so much of it.

If you don’t know what fire ants are, don’t feel bad. My family moved from NJ to FL when I was 3-4 and my parents didn’t believe me that the ants were biting me…
