Dorm Life For Freshmen

I was wondering which dorms freshmen are most likely put into at OSU. This year, freshmen were not allowed to choose a dorm. We could only rank our roommate preference, housing rate, and area of campus. Adding to that, how small should I expect my amount of space to be. I really want a double with a highly lofted bed, as seen in Seibert, so I can put my desk underneath and other storage unit areas to conserve space. What kind of storage units should I buy to fit in this space. For example should I bring plastic drawer sets, bins, closet storage units, etc?

You probably got your dorm assignment today so hopefully you are happy with where you landed. We got my son two of these to go under his junior lofted bed in Raney House and they worked great. However, each dorm is different in terms of the amount of space and whether you can junior loft, loft or bunk the beds. So once you know specifically what dorm you are in and what type of room and what the bed options are you should be able to more precisely figure out what storage options are doable.
