Dorm Question

Hi. My daughter will be part of the 2021 class. We are gong to Admitted Students Day on April 8th to see the school but what is the best dorm fur Arts and Sciences School Sociology? It appears you need to select early. Thanks!

If you wait until after April 8th to make a decision, then most likely your daughter will living in the off campus dorm. My daughter signed up for housing at the beginning of February last year and got her 2nd choice. For Arts and Sciences, students like Baker, Libby, and Farrand as those dorms are close to the center of campus. Sewell is supposed to be nice as well, but I don’t know a ton about it. I don’t think living off campus is as such a big deal until the snow comes - then it’s a bit of a struggle/pain to get around more. My daughter isn’t used to snow, so living in the center of campus has been really helpful to her!

Williams Village is two high rise towers, on Baseline Road and 30th, has been renovated and while its off campus, there are buses and its actually walking distance.
Boulder does have snow, but also hot sunny days , today, Jan 30, it was 60 degrees and very warm. Kids were running around in shorts in Boulder today. I would look at the dorm photos on line, and have her pick one. If she wants to live in a RAP, there are essays to fill in, have her do those, and then see what she gets. The earlier the better with housing. Just look at a map and let her pick. Its only nine months and she will change housing.
