Did the Moore Hill renovation that was recently completed involve the bathrooms too or was it limited to AC systems and moveable furniture in the rooms? Did they redo flooring in the rooms?
In wings with connecting bathrooms in Jester, are the wings co-ed or still separate gender by individual wings.
Finally, I read that Jester West mainly has connecting bathrooms on floors 1-3. Does any one know the approximate number of rooms that would have community bathrooms on floors 1-3?
Thanks!
Can’t speak for JWest but the bathrooms in Moore Hill were renovated. Floors inside rooms were not replaced, but they swapped out the carpet in the halls over winter break and painted the common area walls in April/May. You’re spot on with the AC/furniture renovations
Thanks for the information about Moore Hill. Hard to get info on it because smaller. Are there a lot of upper classmen there or still mainly freshman? How was living in Moore Hill–any input on social aspect, cleanliness of community bathrooms, loud/quiet, etc. Is A/C controlled room by room or by floor?
No problem! There were maybe 6 or 7 upperclassmen under my RAs regime. A lot of kids that like it stay there, but it’s still mostly freshmen. I’m not a social person so I didn’t make any friends besides my roommate, but they offer soooo many opportunities to make friends if you’re willing to, ya know, go to the socials. Milkshake Monday was awesome. Never had issues with cleanliness in the bathrooms, unless you count hair in the showers (not a huge deal for me, honestly). It can be loud if your room is near the stairwell, or if there’s a collection of girls who sit outside your room because they apparently don’t know how to make their way to the study rooms (I’m a little bitter), but I never had problems sleeping. Temperature is controlled by each room but you can’t set it below 71 let me know if you have more questions!
