"i sucked at writing papers, till i took engl with Elissa Weeks, a fine 28yrl… fine as in her instruction skills of course :]) "

Is she an English004 teacher or something else cuz I need to get better at writing papers as well.

shes not teaching in the fall. “Weeks E” is what you use to search her. i had her for engl 1b and liked her so much, i mean her teaching so much, that i took her again for engl1c. all jokes aside (ok i only checked her out once! i promise!) she has a very clever method of teaching, specially for science students who struggle with writing. she breaks things down into formulas and equations and structures parts of an essay for students to easily understand. etc etc. take advantage of office hours ppl, esp with engl instructors. they’ll get to know you better and offer more personalized assistance with your writing struggles and/or strengthen your current skills. boyeah!

I did apply on monday mehedi

haha yeah im good at writing english papers surprisingly, but i hate it. i’m not too fond of complex chemistry or math but i do love my biology!

The single most important thing is to have a clear thesis statement in the introduction. The introduction is the most important thing; if anyone will read any part of your paper, it will be the introduction (if there’s no abstract). The thing is, your thesis is your argument. As long as you can support it, you can write whatever you want.
You have to have good organization, no awkward sentences/words, smooth transitions, etc. as well.
