Dorm Supplies & TV

The checklist that Gettysburg provided and the information on the website has been really helpful in making sure D has all the supplies needed for school. I think I saw TV's in the dorm rooms when we visited and D and roommate are talking about getting one. Does anyone have an opinion on the best size to get to fit in the small space and still be a decent size for viewing? Do most TV's sit on top of a bookshelf or where are they placed? Any info is greatly appreciated!

My daughter’s roommate had hers on top of her dresser. Sorry, I don’t know what size it was. It wasn’t huge, but I’d say it was definitely bigger than a 19".

It’s a good thing both rommmates agree on the tv, but they might want to set up some ground rules on when and how often it gets used. My dd’s roommate brought a tv, and had it on a lot more than my daughter would have preferred. Most evenings she headed to a friend’s room or the library to study because the tv was on. Perhaps some sort of headphone/earbud set up would help, too.
