Dorms for Transfers

I was recently admitted for the fall of 2013 as a transfer student, and I was wondering what are my chances of being placed in Monroe and Butler. I know they are two completely different dorms, but they are my top choices right now.

I know that dorms for transfer students aren't guaranteed. Also, are there other dorms I should consider?

I see from your other post you are coming in as a junior. Butler is for freshmen, so that one is out. The only exception would be if you are in the Honors program (which I have no idea if you can be since you are coming in as a transfer) there are some singles I think they give to junior and senior honors students. Monroe is mostly freshmen, I think, although in the past (long past so not sure about these days) it also took upperclassmen. I lived in it all 4 years, although my last was in a single.

If you are going to get a room, you should probably focus on Aron residences, Irby and Phelps (which used to be the primary dorms where they would place transfer students), if you are female you can look at JL although again I think that is mostly freshmen with some singles that usually go to non-freshmen, Mayer (not sure if this is usually for sophomores or is more of a mix that includes upperclassmen), Paterson which is a mix and is called the "wellness dorms because of its emphasis on programs involving nutrition, exercise, meditation, etc., and Willow residences.
