Anyone know the best freshman dorms at NYU? Looking for one that has a strong sense of community:)
Look into Goddard! Great location (Starbucks is right next door, WSP and Bobst are across the street), small hall (~200 students so it’s quiet and move in is a breeze), and home to the Residential College Program. You have to apply to get in (write three essays) but the program is super awesome. You are put into a stream that is centered around a theme and then get to go to events and programming based on that theme. It’s really about social justice and leadership, so it’s super fun. You have to go to a certain number of events a semester.
Other great halls are Brittany, Hayden, and Founders. Third North is good if you want a kitchen, but UHall or Palladium is better. If community is what you’re looking for, look into the special interest housing.
