Whether or not it is overwhelming will depend on your own work ethic and interest in the fields, it’s a pretty circumstantial question. You won’t be taking any fewer classes than if you weren’t double majoring and minoring, your credits are just being allotted towards a field of study. The schools are pretty picky about AP credits as well so I wouldn’t make any early assumptions about them transferring.

I’m double majoring in Journalism and Sociology with a minor in Media, Culture & Communications. I agree that it’s all about personal drive. Unlike you, I came into NYU with only 4 AP credits - and it really didn’t help me much when it came to being exempt from MAP courses. SO I had to complete all of my MAP requirements. Based on your AP tests, you MAY be exempt from the Natural Sciences and the Quantitative Reasoning - maybe the Foreign Language - requirement. But even if you aren’t, it’s still doable - I did it just fine. If I were you, I would go on each department’s webpage and look under undergraduate requirements and see how many classes you need to take for each major (usually 8-11) and then see how many classes your minor is (usually 4-5) and then try to plan out a tentative schedule over the next 4 years. Just remember that double majoring with a minor leaves little room for electives.
