Double Majoring in Business and Science

I've been admitted to U of Pitts under the Pre-medicine "Major" but I am now interested in pursuing one major in foreign language and a business major (management for example) instead of Pre-Med. I've heard of the dual degree program but it says it takes five years and I've gotten the full tuition honors scholarship for four years only. Also, I'm not sure if it's too late to apply to the dual degree or not so is it possible to double major or even possibly major/minor in degrees from both the School of Arts and Sciences and School of business? If not, what options do I have?

Generally, if you go the UHC and explain your needs for a 5th year extension, they will give you one on your scholarship! For something like a dual-degree/5-year program, they should give you the extension. As of right now, you can’t apply into another school, but once you get to Pitt and start your studies, discuss the dual-degree program with your advisor. It is definitely possible to double-major, but you may need to ask permission from the business school/apply into it first. Minoring is totally acceptable and you don’t need permission from the school to do it.

Thank you, this helps immensely!
