Can students at Georgetown choose to double major across the schools? For example, I am currently planning on enrolling at the School of Foreign Service next year, but could I possibly major in International Economics (SFS) and Applied Math (College)?
Nope, not allowed. SFS also has very few minors and certificates, so if you want to take math it would just be using up your electives.
No. Plus, we just have a math major, not an applied math major (though you could probably choose electives that deal with more applied math). You (might) be able to minor in math from the SFS but I’m not sure. One thing you could do, since the IECO and ECON majors have very few differences, is be a math and econ double major in the College and then just take some classes with a more international focus, like Econ-484 Political Economy of Trade Policy.
