Double Nomination

Hey there. So I have received a nomination from both my Senator and Representative. Does this increase my chances of appointment? If yes, why? I cannot seem to get a clear answer from counselors and such. Thanks.

It depends on the needs of USNA. The more nominations you have certainly means that you are well-regarded by multiple nominating sources. That is a good reflection of your record, but it does not necessarily improve your chances of receiving an appointment.

It does not increase your chances. You need a nomination to get an appointment, but it doesn’t matter where the nomination originates or how many there are. You are competing against the others on each slate so your odds are the same no matter how many you have. If USNA wants you, you will get an appointment as long as you have a nomination.
