I’m debating on if I should double up on both math and science.
I’m scheduling for 10th grade, and I want to double up so that I can do AP classes junior year.
I would have taken biology and geometry this year, but since I moved to a new school, I couldn’t.
I know for sure that I’m doubling up on math (geometry & algebra 2), but not sure about science (biology & chem)
Have any of you done it? Is it manageable? I run track in the spring, would that be okay?
If I do it my schedule would look like this:
-AP American History
-Geometry
-Algebra 2
-Biology
-Chemistry
-Spanish 2
-Honors English 2
I have 7 bells total if you’re wondering, but yeah. Any advice and tips would be helpful
BTW-if I do double up on both, any suggestions on how to prepare during the summer, perhaps?
This isn’t AP, so it reaaaally depends on your school (and of course your own abilities). In my opinion, this looks like a less intense version of a super intense junior schedule… the classes are all there (except the doubled math), but they’re not the AP versions. I think it would be a good prep for next year, but it will also most likely be a lot tougher than your classmates’ schedules. Again, we know nothing about you, but chances are you’ll be working harder than you’ve ever worked.
I don’t think it will be a problem. You are going to double up on two core classes, but your schedule only has 1 AP and 1 honors so it shouldn’t be too difficult.
Good luck!
