It is probably the only dorm/apt i have not been in to. Is it nice?

It is a leased property off campus, not a dorm. You live right next to real families.

I like douglas park. It’s leased property, so you pay through school, but you don’t have a lot of the restrictions that you would in a dorm, and not all the apartments there are NU student housing, some is leased through independent realtors. It’s all pretty new, lots of space (similar to the davs), and most of the people living there are students.

I think you have to pay for cable and stuff separately though, right? It’s a slight downer (but worth it to most people).

true, you have to pay cable/internet separately… but not hot water/electricity, if I remember. Still, cable and internet are pricey ($50-100 a month) so it should be factored in when looking at price.

Leased property is nice if you have a reason you need to stay in dorms, and it’s cheaper than WV or other enhanced properties, but still a lot more expensive than just moving off campus.

k thanks to all who replied. This was the housing i was assigned. I was really hoping for something a little inexpensive. Paying for internet and cable is not cool at all.

You could try to request to move into 337 hunt or something. It’s leased too, and a bit cheaper than douglas.

transfernkid, this may sound really silly, but are you a transfer to northeastern? if so, when did you hear about your housing assignment?

@Neuchimie Yea that is what i am probably going to do. I am just waiting for fin aid to come out.
@mgm91 i transferred last year but i know that the transfer housing assignments come out around late June early July.
