Drexel vs. American vs. Seattle U vs. Fordham for Communications and Theatre

I’ve lowered my choices down to these 4 schools, but I can’t decide between them. Does anyone have any advice on any schools on the list? Interested in a major in Comm and a minor in Theatre or a double major in both.

American will probably be the best for both programs. Drexel isn’t known for amazing arts. Not too familiar with Forham and Seattle. I’m guessing cost isn’t an issue.

Have you been accepted by all of these, and have you received your financial aid information? If not, wait until those are in. When running the numbers, don’t forget to include your own best estimates for travel expenses to & from home at least twice each year.

How important is that potential theater major? If so, what aspect is most important for you - performance, tech, design, production, dramaturgy, directing, writing? Look at the theater departments more deeply. Do undergrads get the opportunities you want? (Some departments focus much more on their grad programs.) Do opportunities only go to majors? Is there a formal option for a minor? Can students participate even if they aren’t formally affiliated with the department?

What about career placement for internships and after graduation? Contact the career centers at each campus, and ask.
