My roommate last year was allergic to alcohol, but he still drank, even though it made his skin break out and turn red. To me, that’s sad.

^ Most if not all Asians have this as well. The “Asian Flush”/“Asian Glow” is pretty much it.

what is your allergic reaction?

You can play pong. Just convince your partner to drink for you. Tell them you’ve had too much (or don’t want to have more). I see it happen all the time

^ Most if not all Asians have this as well. The “Asian Flush”/“Asian Glow” is pretty much it. yeah exactly tht. i haaate it!!! ommmmm theespy said, u can let ur partner do it but then its like u dont play a part in anything, …

That’s the allergic reaction you’re talking about? If it is then you don’t have anything to worry about. I used to get it too and I’m Asian. It’s not even half as bad as it was when I first started partying.

I’ve come to an understanding that the more you drink then the more your body gets used to it and also I take pepcid ac before a party so I don’t get red anymore.

"ommmmm theespy said, u can let ur partner do it but then its like u dont play a part in anything, … "

yea it isn’t fun or anything. But if you absolutely must play beer pong then…do that. Or either be EXTREMELY good at distracting your opponents so they don’t get a single shot in or find really lousy opponents so they won’t sink a single cup. Not that I’ve seen either one of those happen

Oni-to counteract the flush take Pepcid AC. Flushing just a reaction to the alcohol, nonlethal, non deadly. Man up.

It isn’t THAT bad. I feel like people are making it out to be this horrible nightmare if you don’t drink. That being said, I do drink a fair amount, and I plan to next year. However, I’ve been in your position - I had a really severe concussion for several months, and was literally the only sober one at Halloween, several birthday, and just general parties from basically September through November. At times it sucked, but sometimes it’s not too bad to be the only sober one - it can even be kind of funny sometimes.

It might be annoying to make your partner drink for you, but it also means that you’ll win beruit (pong? I think we use different terminology for the same games where I live) like a champ, because you’ll be the only sober one playing. Hee. :)

smoqueed. find other avenues if you know what I mean.

pass the blunt !

all about the cross fadee…

thanks guys, btw cabhax and batllo said tht pepcid ac helps. but online, pepcid ac seems to have a lot of side effects… ill prob just get a drink but not drink it …mm

no offense but what a waste of booze. the parties we have, we run outta 25 cases of stones in 2 hours. cause people like you cough cough don’t drink the entire can and get a new one or just don’t drink it.

There are many things to do at school that don’t involve drinking and partying. But, if you do go to parties and don’t want to drink, try pouring a soda or water into your cup. This could still give people the illusion that you are drinking if that is what you are out for. Plus, not everyone at parties are smashed, and if they are, you are better off leaving because someone will do something stupid leading to the cops coming or something serious happening.

Dude, I’ve gone to plenty of parties with alcohol and just not drunk. Seriously, not drinking does no mean losing out on the fun. It’s even more fun I think, because then you get to watch people do crazy things :]

depends on how severe your “allergy” is. If it’s just the asian glow, don’t worry about it, I get that too.

in the end though, it’s your decision, don’t let anybody peer pressure you into doing anything you don’t want to.

by the way, I’d never thought about the water bottle method for someone who wants to stay sober haha

Just an FYI, no one really cares if you drink or not.
