Hey guys, I just dropped Spanish 2 after realizing that I didn't need it because I took 1 year of Spanish 2 in HS.

So, this is my question: How do I report this change of schedule without making it seem like I will not complete IGETC without this course? On the Berkeley application I stated that this course would complete my language requirement and I would think the other UC's would automatically assume that I am taking Spanish 2 to fill my IGETC req.

Should I just send each campus an email describing the reason why I dropped?

Oh I know my CCC is the same for college level work I should rephrase my reply. As what I forgot to add was I though IGETC says you need 2 years of the same language if using it from high school. As I took spanish 1-2 for a year and then 3-4 which is my second year.

lookin thank you for posting that I may not need my spanish 2 class now at my CCC. As I completed spanish 1+2 in high school, but that was only a year so I need to find out.

Well, I already satisfied the IGETC language requirement, so I’m just dropping the Spanish 2 class I signed up for.

On my Application however, I wrote that I will be taking Spanish 2 to cover the language portion of the IGETC.

How do I inform the colleges I am applying to that I have dropped Spanish 2 but I have fulfilled the language portion of the IGETC with previous classes taken in HS. I’m afraid the information will be lost and they will only see that I dropped Spanish 2.

Call each of the universities you applied to and ask for specifics. From my understanding, they will provide you with an e-mail address to explain your situation.

I had to report a class drop as well and I called UCB and UCD and they didn’t given me a specific email address. They had told me to update the Berkeleyapp and the general UC Update form. I had faxed them these changes as well, so everything should be worked out, but I was wondering if they gave you an email address in your experience?
