What should I do in regards to my application? I was in PE (Women's Golf) for first semester, as I wanted it in my records that I actually played golf senior year, but I dropped it second semester after the season was over and I had returned to regular PE. My high school only requires 3 years of PE so I didn't want to take it.

My question is, should I inform UCLA of dropping that class? When should I inform them, after I've been accepted (hopefully) or right now (if possible)? If I should inform them right now, how would I go about doing that?

Report any changes as soon as you can. Do not play a waiting game until after you are admitted, as admissions is easy to rescind as it is to offer.

I actually have the same problem, as I am going to be dropping my Field Sports class soon. The issue for me, though, is that there never was an option to put it on my application, since it wasn't an A-G class that counted towards GPA, so UCLA really doesn't know I have this class (The grade wouldn't hurt me anyways, its PE). I talked to counselors and other people before submitting my application, and its a consensus that this course, health, and other PE classes were not a part of the classes we input. Therefore, if UCLA doesn't know that I have this class, would they care if I drop it? I'm going to talk to a counselor (who works for admissions sorta) but I don't relish the thought of spending 20minutes waiting for UCLA to reply.

Was the class listed anywhere on your application? ANYWHERE? If so, you MUST inform them of the change.

A few minutes of paperwork is a small price to pay to make sure that you are being honest. Seriously, you will have plenty of 20 minute forms to fill out in your life, and this is not one to balk over.

I understand UCLAri, but the drop down list for classes did not include ANY Physical Education courses. Every other class in our school was on there (I'm assuming those are UC approved) but those courses. Some people initially wanted to add it as a course not mentioned until the counselors overrode them on that. This topic is going to make me talk to my counselor a lot sooner though, because I am dead sure that it was not listed ANYWHERE on the application. It won't affect my UC GPA in any way because I took these classes in freshman and senior year, but better safe than sorry I guess (especially after I got the engineering letter ><)

If you did not list it on your application, then you likely will have no reason to correct it. I wouldn't worry about it. However, I recommend firing off an e-mail to a counselor at UCLA to be sure. With all due respect to high school counselors, the people at UCLA know a lot more about UCLA.
