I have two questions regarding transfer admissions:

I may attend Penn, Columbia, Dartmouth, or Brown this fall, so when it comes time for me to apply to transfer does it matter that I will only have one semester worth of grades? This is normal, right? It just seems they would then rely mostly on high school grades, which brings me to my next question...

My high school record has been absolutely perfect up until second semester of senior year. I hadn't anticipated the admissions slaughter that was yesterday, so I let my grades slip from about a 99 avg to about a 95-96 avg. This should drop my rank at least two places (I was in the top 1% previously). Will the peer Ivies I hope to transfer to understand this sort of drop? I would guess my overall average wouldn't be too affected, but my record will be less than perfect.

I am not sure whether I will go ahead with this transfer plan as I know it is wise to first learn to love the college I am attending, though I hope to apply to Harvard, Yale, or Stanford next year.
