LMAO no comment

As for me... I've never been offered.... but on the golf course they smoke... just the legal stuff and some random dude asked me on the street if I had a cigerette.

I don't really associate with those kinds of people

everyone keeps saying this, but what exactly are "those types of people." many different types of people do drugs, including many people who u probably wouldnt expect would. this type of statement seems very niave and kind of ignorant.

You seem offended!

I'm amazed at all the "I've been offerrred weed once, and I'm not stupid enough to do it." You all seem to have really extensive experiences with it. Anyone who thinks the moment you smoke weed you turn into some absolute bum is going to be extremely surprised in college. I don't mean to advocate drug-use, especially here, but the "worst" thing weed will do to you physically is make you feel like you've been laughing for two hours. I don't understand how alcohol is legal and weed isn't, the effects of alcohol are far more dangerous to both the person AND people around them.

Yeah a little. I know people who smoke weed on a regular basis and i dont think they're bad people at all, so it's a little "offensive" when people generalize any drug-user, habitual or infrequent, as someone they would not associate with. It's silly really.

I didn't mean to offend you, I'm sorry! That was really bad wording on my part. What I meant was that I know people who do drugs but I never actually talk to them, only because I don't know them, not because I don't want to know them or because I think less of them because of what they do. Does that make sense?

Well the biggest pot head in our school is also the valedictorian. Probably 50% of the top 10% at my school smoke regularly. And about 90% of them drink regularly. No one would expect it by looking at us in school but that is just how it is in SoCal. Personally I only smoke/drink about once a month but some of my friends smoke every day and drink every weekend.

As long as they separate their drug use from school and do not get caught it does not really have a bad effect.

Haha, the only people who offer me drugs are my relatives in China.

And by drugs I mean alcohol. And I think cigarettes this one time.

I have been offered pot on multiple occasions. A LOT of people on CC lead rather sheltered lives. At my school, a large majority of AP students are marijuana users. Many of the valedictorians/Ivybounds use it. Honestly, I have come to believe that it is a rather harmless drug.

"There are other ways to have fun and it's illegal."
What the government tells you is not necessarily true. Let's not forget the prohibition.

Why wait for someone to offer?

yeah, drinking/smoking doesnt necessarily make you dumb. Our valedictorian drinks most weekends and has smoked many-a-time, and I know a lot of others in the top 10% who do the same. As long as you stay in control of it, it's fine (IMO)

It's not about being bad, just stupid lol. The valedictorian argument is also stupid, because there are tons of people ranked high in their class who are dumb as rocks.

I told u I was hardcore

My philosopher friend has tried to get me to try marijuana and some hallucinogens. I've said no each time, but he's a great guy.
