I will be attending Texas A&M in the fall and I know for a fact that all of my dual credit coursework will transfer. However, this last semester I reeeeeally dropped the ball and forgot to turn in an assignment for an online class and ended up with a 73. My question is, do my grades from my dual credit transfer or is it simply the credit? Will I get a new GPA at A&M? I’m planning on applying to vet school… Will grad schools be able to look back on this specific grade or will they just see that I got credit for it? Can I retake the class at TAMU for a higher grade and wash that old one away? Essentially i just want to know if this is a big deal or if it will even make a difference to my college GPA, and if so is there a way I can fix it.
When you apply to vet school, you will need to send original copies of all of your college level transcripts. So yes, they will see any old bad grades. What they make of those grades will be up to them. How they deal with re-takes of courses will also be up to them. So if you know your target vet schools, ask them.
