I also received an invitation. I want to be excited, but since it isn’t official, I don’t want to speak too soon. On the invitation, it invited our families and us to “Blue Devil Days,” so is anyone going to that instead of BSAI?
Or plans to go to that
@Ceciliaagnes I think its from people declining, but they don’t mention how we should go about doing that. In the email it says that space is limited so we should let them know as soon as possible if we are attending. Then further down it talks about how the email shouldn’t be shared as they are not able to invite everyone, but will continue to do so as space allows. I take that to mean as people decline their invites, they’ll send more out. @skateboardp914 I don’t think I’m able to attend BSAI, so I may go to Blue Devil Days instead.
My admissions officer asked for more info. on my Extracurriculars today. At least I’m not in the reject pile yet…
I called Mrs. Lipscomb, from the invitational email, and asked her if I was unable to attend BSAI if it hurts my chances of admittance? She said, “Absolutely not!” She also said I could just go to Blue Devil Days and when I asked, “Isn’t that only for admitted students?” she couldn’t give a definite answer because she didn’t want to give anything away. So that’s good. I’m still kind of nervous and paranoid, though.
@skateboardp914 okay thank you so much for that clarification! so we don’t have to do anything if we’re not able to attend, we just simply don’t respond to the email or should I email Mrs.Lipscomb and tell her I can’t go?

My daughter got an invite to BSAI last night, but DUKE is not her top choice. How big a deal is it to be invited?

Started going down memory lane and ran across BSAI threads! I attended BSAI, and it turned out to be a HUGE deciding factor in my attendance here. First off, if you received a letter, you are accepted so don’t worry. Also, as far as I know, they haven’t told us who our pfrosh are/who are y’alls hosts, but you should be receiving them at least 2 days before it starts. Can’t wait to meet you guys, you will love it!

I have wanted to go to Duke for quite a while now. I was extremely excited when I received my BSAI invitiation! I can’t wait to meet everyone next weekend.
@skateboardp914 Glad I could! And no I didn’t go to BDD because it was like less than a month after BSAI and it wasn’t really necessary for me to since I had already been to the campus. Plus, BSAI was enough for me to confirm my decision.
That awkward moment when you get your BSAI invitation on March 26th, even though the registration deadline is March 20. Duke pls?
