***Duke Class of 2021 Discussion Thread***

@DukeShama Yes

Were we supposed to get an email from Duke a few minutes ago at 7 informing us about 14th decisions?

emails confirming the 14th were just sent!

I want to open it in privacy anyway, but the line about opening it away from other people scared me

Got the email!

@DukeShama no problem. Best of luck!

For those of you asking about Duke accepting more than one student from a school - for whatever it is worth, two years ago, Duke accepted four students from my son’s school. It’s an all boys school with approx 110 students in the Senior class.

This is gonna be a long week

im freaking out this time next week we’ll know omg

every time i think about it i get so nervous i want this so badly its been my dream for two years already

Does anyone know if Duke releases the number of ED applicants before decisions are released?

http://www.dukechronicle.com/article/2015/12/dukes-early-decision-acceptance-rate-falls-to-record-low-23-5-percent-for-class-of-2020

I think The Chronicle has published the data on ED day the last two years

@BB1313 That’s weird, my email told me to open the decision email openly in front of friends and family. how strange? :wink:

@GenericCollgeKid really?

Are there multiple emails?

@therealdeal23 haha, no don’t worry. Just joshing around. Mine also said to open confidentially

Oh ok thanks @paulcord

Lol

A part of me is utterly terrified to find out b/c now I can at least dream that possibly I might get a “Congrats you’re in!!” but another part of me just wants to get this wait over with.

Hey guys. So my school doesn’t do grades by quarters or trimesters-- we do them in semesters, so the end of the first term would be past the 14th. Would it hurt my application if I didn’t have this year’s grades sent in for ED?
