@hopelessopus12 Not at all! Last year my son was so sure he didn’t get in when so many received the BSAI. He wound up receiving it within a day of the official RD results. You just never know, so don’t lose heart!

Hey, did anyone receive a likely letter for the Provost Scholars Program ?
Hey guys, how much does geographical region matter with respect to Duke admissions?
I ask because I have stats that would be considered average for Duke, but I have no other ‘hook’ such as being URM (as an Asian Indian, my heritage may hurt more than help me when considering admit chances). However, I am from an underrepresented geographical region. Does this help at all?

@LaikaDoodles Appalachia (West Virginia). I checked some past class profiles and noticed there was a notable lack of admits from my region, like 3-4 since my cousin went in 2008 to be exact.

Which state are you from or are you an international?
I got the letter for the provost scholars as well and I’m in state. From the letter, I believe that it’s just an honors program that doesn’t give merit scholarship money.
