I was given a week. I went to campus again before I made a decision though.

I only sent an email to my advisor saying I was still interested and asked if I could do anything to help my chances. He told me no and that I just needed to forget about Duke. I wasn’t expecting to ever hear back.

I got an email yesterday from Mr. Guttentag asking if I still wanted to go to Duke and what my current plans are. I responded saying that I absolutely still want to go to Duke. Does this mean that they are going to accept me off the waitlist?

Does anyone know if all the wait list decisions from duke are out yet? Or are they doing it one by one?

It looks like I have to turn down my acceptance at Duke due to financial hardship. I truly hope someone can accept my spot, as this is the opportunity of a lifetime and I thoroughly regret having to give it up. Hopefully I end up here for my PhD studies, as after visiting yesterday, I practically fell in love with the idea of being a Blue Devil. Life goes on, everyone. Best of luck to the engineer that receives my spot

@lhw1998 are you an international student? Because otherwise Duke would cover 100% of your financial needs. Also did Duke provide any aid to you as a waitlist candidate? If yes how much does Duke provide? (I also require aid and I wish to see if Duke is liberal in providing aid. Otherwise there would be no point of contending for their acceptance)

Never mind! I just got off the phone with financial aid and it looks like things are going to work out :slight_smile: I’m absolutely thrilled!!! I’ll see you all in Durham this fall >:)
