So does that suggest we got rejected? What a somber email/way to make us dread the news for the next six days…
@happysnappy I think it is just a regular likely letter! Other than telling me that I will be admitted, the only other thing they mention is that I have priority registration for the Focus Program.
Not getting a likely letter definitely does not mean you will be rejected. In the letter they say that likely letters are sent to “a very small number that stood out in the crowd for us.” Also, that email does not suggest a rejection! Please don’t worry yourselves by reading too much into it!
Also, I, who received a likely letter, got that email too! So don’t worry! <3 @BioRocksMySocks
Did everyone get the weird part about not opening it around your friends? Because to me that suggests that you didn’t get in and would be upset about your decision. Why else would they put that in?
@BioRocksMySocks no, not necessarily. I got a likely letter from W&M and got in, but didn’t get one from Emory and got in there too. Likely letters tend to go out to a very small proportion of the people who actually got accepted; usually, it’s only the insane applicants who have done something amazingly exceptional, or the ones who applied very very early. You still have plenty of hope! Good luck!
@souradeline thank you so much for posting that, I was getting really worried about not having received a likely letter
Thank you all for the reassurance and congrats on your likely letters!!
@js7234 and @sweetcookie18 DS got a LSRW letter today via email.
What’s LSRW??
Just got waitlisted at UNC Chapel Hill.
Any chance for a Duke acceptance now?
I’m in the same boat. I don’t think the chances are looking good for me. I’ll keep hoping for some good news though. They were both tied as my top choice. At the end of the day I know each one of us is going to end up where we are supposed to be even if at first it is not neccessarily where we want to be but we’ll make the most of it. We’ll make friends and memories we could not have made at any other school and realize we ended up where we needed to be. Best of luck to everyone!
does everyone’s email mention not opening decisions in front of friends/classmates? I feel like thats something that would only affect people who didn’t get in.
@kjake2000 mine did but duke is an extreme reach for me
All those emails are identical. Don’t read anything more into it.
@kjake2000 If you look on reddit, everybody received the same email
Do they send LIKELY LETTERS via email or mail?
and any international student who got them?
Anyone know what percentage of applicants get LL’s? Also, do both trinity and Pratt get them?
Got my LSRW invite yesterday!
I have taken the ACT 4 times and my highest score is a 21.
