Duke foreign language credits (need answers before class sign up)

I’m a sophomore with straight A’s and a majority of ap classes, but NO FOREIGN LANGUAGE CREDITS. With my current Pre planned high school schedules, I will end up taking ap physics 1&2, apcalc ab&BC, ap computer science principles and ap computer science all next year. I have already (and currently) taken AP social studies classes (APHUGS and APUSH) and will take ap English 3 and 4 (lang and lit). Anyway thats my background (I do have good EC’s and a job). So if I were to take weight lifting 1 next year in the one free class space I have rather than Spanish 1, I will only end high school with Spanish 1 and 2 (senior year) but I will be very happy because I finally get a fun and PHYSICALLY challenging class (though the sleep deprivation in hugs and APUSH is physically hard). I can always take German online as extra classes but if I were to JUST TAKE SPANISH 1 AND 2 would they not admit me or take me less seriously taking my background into account? (Assuming I stay in the top 3% of my class and school like I am now!). I really want to take weight lifting junior year but not if it would kill my chances.

Ditch one of the comp sci classes. Take the phys ed class and the spanish.

Just barely meeting the minimum requirement of a competitive school is not a good idea.

To clarify, the weight lifting class is not a required class. It is just an elective I want to take because a lot of my friends will be in it. I cannot ditch one of the computer science classes because one is a pre-requisite for the other, and the one that is a pre-requisite isn’t worth anything in itself. I do have some friends who took German 1 and 2 online this year, and will take 3 and maybe 4 next year. They said that the workload isn’t much from the German classes and are easily handling it while taking AP Calculus. Would me taking German 1 and 2 online junior year and 3 online senior be a good idea? I don’t really see a point in doing more than 3 foreign language classes if my intended focus is in engineering. And even if I switch to pursue other majors/interests, none of those rely on foreign languages… also I speak Arabic just as well as I can speak English, can read it almost as well as English, and know some of the basics of writing (I’m Muslim so knowing Arabic comes with the territory :)).

I took spanish 1 and 2, german 1 online, and got in last year
