thanks @lemonstress23 !
Does timing of when you write this letter make a difference? (as long as it’s before May 1)
Called admissions said they don’t know if they are taking anyone from the waitlist. Anyone hear that
Any update?
I committed to wash u
Congrats!!! I must say I wish I knew where I was going. What did you base your decision on - if you don’t mind me asking. Wash u is a very good school. I need to move on… I feel like taking a gap year!,
Sorry. I posted instead of replying. Congrats on wash u. Great school. How did you make your decision. Struggling with mine. I need to move on
I was struggling as well. I was debating between UIC GPPA, rice, washu, and U Michigan. Wash u is closer to home as I live in Chicago and great school for pre-med. Chances of getting into a good med school are high.
Well good luck. It must be a great feeling to know where you are going. Good luck in college and med school one day.
Any update from duke?
^
if there was we would probably all be screaming about it.
Is there any point in submitting the LOCI earlier?
Some people last year called the office and asked if Pratt was considering taking anyone off of the waitlist, to which admissions replied no. Would anyone be willing to do this?
@sumguy not sure. Although if you haven’t already submitted it, today is not considered early. A lot of applicants submit in the week following the decision.
@nigeluno I’m still working on mine and I’m wondering whether I should rush it. Does it benefit me to send it earlier or have a stronger LOCI?
Is now considered too late? will it negatively affect my chances? I’m not done yet haha
@sumguy @vc_scrubjay Not sure why you guys haven’t already sent out this letter, as the majority of waitlisted applicants already have. Get it out ASAP, but don’t compromise on the contents. I can’t tell you if it’s too late as I don’t know whether they’ve already started considering potential waitlist candidates, but the time is inevitably approaching.
hi guys! good luck to all of us here (: I was wondering if anyone got a confirmation email from their regional admissions counselor after sending a LOCI? I emailed mine at the beginning of April and still haven’t received a reply back… should I resend it or just wait?
@sparrow1102 call the office and ask for a confirmation of recipiency
