How do you know they enrolled 1400?

Never mind, saw the first page. Anyway how many uncommitteds are there still?

Got my acceptance e-mail off of Duke’s Wait List today All I have to do now is pay my deposit for Trinity, and I’ll officially be a Blue Devil!

Duke doesn’t even require a deposit. Just check you acceptance button and you’re in. Congratulations.

Thanks! I realized when I accepted my offer :)

Anyone got a call today?

I was wondering the same thing. If 1400+ already enrolled by 4/30, and lot of people will probably enroll at the last minute, is this a bad news…??

I’ll most likely be declining my spot due to financial aid - good luck everyone! And some people messaged me about this so I’ll answer here: I didn’t do anything to get off the waitlist. Complete surprise. :)

@batfan

You’re still going to Dartmouth, which is amazing school too!!
My sister got waitlisted at Duke, and now she has to go to the state school where acceptance rate is close to 80%…
How do you decline an offer? Could you possibly do it ASAP for other desperate waitlistees pleasee??

Haha funny. Good idea!

OMG!!! Absolutely the best campus my D and I have seen this past year. People are friendly (unlike Georgetown) and the campus was just amazing!!! Not sure why anyone would consider another (yes including the IVY) school over Duke. This is of course taking all financial consideration out of the equation.

I personally liked Dartmouth way more than Duke.
It’s all about the personal preference. haha

Yup, just did. Good luck, everyone!

Why did Duke go to their waitlist so early this year? Also, if we haven’t heard from them already, is there going to be a second round at the normal time that waitlist offers are given out, (like around mid-May)?

Because of the waitlist, I can’t really get excited about the school I paid deposit to. I keep thinking “maybe miracle would happen.” Instead of being happy about the school I’ll enroll, I am just so nervous about the waitlist decisions.

^ You’ve got me really hoping you get in off the wait list! Good luck. And remember, once you get to college, whether it’s Duke or your second choice, once you’ve made friends and starting creating those memories that last a lifetime, you’ll be glad it worked out however it worked out.

Thank you god - I got in.

Today, 10:37, May 4th, 2012, by my mother’s cell phone.

congrats Huntsmen…are you coming to Duke? if so, Go Blue!

Do you think there will be phone calls this week as well?

Accepted into Pratt today

@SeniorOhBoy, did you receive an call, email or via snail mail?

Everyone seems to be getting a call first, followed up by an email.
Does anyone have any opinion about the waitlist chance this year?
