D'Youville

I want to go into nursing, and my guidance counselor told me to look into D'Youville. From what I've read about the school, and know from talking to an admissions rep, it sounds like a definite possibility. The program I'm interested in is the 5 year BSN/MSN.

Do you guys know much about D'Youville? I'm mainly interested in knowing what the academics are like as my guidance counselor doesn't know too much...But things like campus life and dorms and food are also great!

Thanks.

Anyone? I really want to find this out.

I don't know anything about it either. Did you look into Scranton or Pitt ?

Well, all I know is that it offers a 5 year program for physician assistants and it may not be a difficult school. My son is in the PA program at another school and they warn the kids about the hardest class in the program, organic chemistry. When we asked what happens when kids don't pass at his school, they told told us that kids go to D'Youville, where it's offered in the summer. That's all I know, but this is from a school in western PA.

Can't tell you much about campus life, but it is in a great neighborhood in Buffalo. Close to lots of restaurants and bars on Allen Street.

Do you know much about the academics?

Anyone at all? This is a really hard place to find out about.

I think it's a predominantly Jewish school. But for some reason they keep emailing me

Shows what you know...It's a Christian school.

Well I just recall reading that somewhere. It's possible I'm confusing it with someother D'Something school.

Any suggestions what a rec. letter to a pa program should include?

What does the school say about the rec. letter? My son had one written up by the volunteer supervisor at a hospital. Who thinks you would be a good candidate for the field of medicine?
