EA acceptees?

I got accepted to EA, and I'm very happy that I did (although it was my safety school :P)

anyone else?

man, that's the second school you applied to EA-- and got accepted into! boy, i really regret not applying anywhere EA. I'm dying for some good news. Anyway, I also applied to GMU, but obviously RD. This is my one "good match." Better get accepted, or else it's VCU for me :(

I applied two EAs, two rolling, seven RDs lol
accetped to both EAs but got deferred from UVA ED (those suckers -_-)

It's always good to know there's somewhere for me to go

Good luck!!!!!

11 schools?! Wow...and I thought 5 might've been too much.

Come on! More people! There's got to be others out there...

hey i seem to be seeing you guys everywhere!...i just joined CC and have only been to the JMU, VT, and GMU discussions and there you guys are..ok well its not that big a shock..anyways what are your first choices? i applied to gmu before i visited it and it was only after i did visit, that it came to tie with vt and jmu on my first choice spot..so i dont know where i really want to go, considering i get into all 3..lol

well, if it helps, most people applying to the schools you've applied to would take JMU and VaTech over GMU, because they are harder to get into and, for most programs, are better schools.

My first choice is the University of Mary Washington: perfect location, beautiful campus, small student body. The small student body is especially important because I've only attended small high schools. If I end up going somewhere else, I won't break down or anything. The large size of the university would just be another obstacle I'd have to face during the transition into college life.

Everyday I check these boards in hope that someone else writes something, so please, if you want to continue talking about the schools or have any questions abouat them, do post! And hope you enjoy CC!

thanks halwayinthebox :] ... i was thinking of applying to mary washington but when i went to visit my cousin who lives there, i didnt really like the location cuz i thought it was too country-like. i didnt visit the actual campus, but that was my first impression when i got to fredricksburg. my cousin's wife goes there though, i think shes majoring in some math to become a math teacher i think. what do you want to major in anyways?

I think Fredericksburg is a nice town, (I actually prefer the "country" atmosphere for college) but by location, I was talking more about it's proximity to D.C./Nova and Richmond. I love how it's so conveniently close to both! Admittedly, the fact that UMW is located in a historic city doesn't really matter to me...

I selected Accounting as my major when filling out the applications for George Mason and the other schools (that had it as a chocie), but I sort of regret doing this now because, in actuality, I don't exactly know what I want to major in. I do know, however, that I definitely want to major in something business-related, so hopefully, if accounting doesn't cut it for me, changing majors won't be too difficult.

I just received a letter from GMU, I was selected fo admission. My intended major is Electrical Engineering. However, I will not be accepting it. I have accepted an Appointment to the US Coast Guard Academy. Good Luck Everyone.

congrats and good luck to you too :]

I was admitted into their honors program and got some money. I visited the school and even thought the campus doesn't look very good I liked the people and its proximity to DC. The people there seem real chill and a lot are underachievers who could have done much better in HS if they tried (heh that is exactly what happened to me). I applied to W&M UVA James Madison VaTech American too, but right now I am only considering W&M American and GMU and maybe even UVA (assuming I have a chance at being accepted there).

good job :)

i visited UVA and it seemed too cold for me. The people weren't that friendly and the city seemed boring, but hey, maybe it was because I visisted on a cold, rainy day. shrug I visited GMU too and it was great, but my dad thinks its too much of a city and there are too many distractions. So my top choices right now are JMU and VT. Good luck with the other 3 unless youve already been accepted :]

I just got my email from American, I was accepted. Now i have two very solid choices near DC. Its gonna be hard to decide.

I'm considering GMU, UVA, W & M, University of Chicago, and Georgetown for fall of 2006. So far what I've heard about Mason really gets me excited. If I get accepted into the scholars program it's a no brainer, Mason all the way. But I've got a few questions baout the campus environment and academics that I would like answered. I want a school that's very academic. Not studious, but a school where the classes are challenging and people are excited about learning. Is the campus nice, nice architecture, nice off campus opportunities in terms of networking in DC, nice nightlife? Thanks
