EA Anyone?

Got my package today... no merit money though. I've got to count on a very generous FA package now...

1950 SAT, 3.87W/3.71UW, 2 Varsity Sports, URM...

Anyone thought about going on any of the trips before orientation?

DD2 received her acceptance with a Dean's Scholarship (1/4 tuition). Stats: NMSF, 2280 SAT, 34 ACT, 4.0 UW.

My daughter was rejected by email with beautiful photos of the campus! Very hurtful.

My daughter never received an email notification, but her acceptance arrived in today's mail with a postmark of December 18.

nomore, that's horrible! I hope RD turns out well for her.

haha arduouspallor, we have the EXACT same SAT/ACT score, literally. I got a 2030 SAT (R: 700, M: 630, W: 690) and 30 ACT. and I've got a 4.0 GPA, 4.9 weighted.

Lol, so why was I deferred? :(

I don't think if you are rejected you are considered RD, only if you are deferred. I agree though, that is a terrible way for admissions to let students know they have not been accepted. We won't hear anything until April since S applied RD. His chances depend solely on how much they care about his 800 in math. His other scores are middle of the road, as is his GPA. I hope they just send a letter or a postcard without any lovely campus pictures if they reject him.

hey, i'm so excited that there are some kids getting into lc! i applied early action last year too, got in, and am a current freshman. lc was actually a sort of safety school for me, but i'm now very happy there and can't picture myself anywhere else. consider it closely you guys! lc really is a great place, with enthusiastic professors, laid back students, and a stunning campus.

feel free to ask questions here or pm me if you guys have any questions about lc.

Some great stats for accepted students, congrats all. S didn't discover L&C until after EA, so there's a lot of waiting time for him. He has good ACT scores, mediocre grades, so L&C is a reach for him, particularly financially.

MosheA: That really sucks! Hopefully if you make it clear you'd love to attend Lewis & Clark, they'll accept you.

I'm always amazed by how early people get their admission decisions. I happen to live in Ecuador- and just so you know, our 'snailmail' system has twice been labeled one of the 'worst in the world.'

I've got a question though. In most cases, do the Lewis and Clark admissions team inform you of their decision earlier than April 1?
