lol, 3 posts about 2 schools in 3 months = helicopter parenting… wow. Feel free to continue cluttering up the discussion with insults, I’m moving on.
P.S. Honours, it’s a golfing term… from waaay back, but since you don’t know anything about me, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt for not knowing the context of it in my username…
Accepted w/honors! 34 ACT/ 4.37 GPA W, 3.89 UW
I received my acceptance through mail today (21st), but when I checked the portal it said the status had been updated on the 19th. @FrothyShake when did you hear back about acceptance? Just wondering when I can expect to hear back regarding scholarship $$!
All the best to everyone!
From what I have read from other posters from this year as well as previous years, you get the honors notification with your admission decision. Mine was on my portal and did say in the second or third paragraph that I was accepted into the honors program. I don’t know why some are getting letters and some are just getting notified on their portals about this information. I’m still waiting on the merit award part, but it may take longer to get to California. I keep reading that it comes in the mail shortly after the initial admission notification. My GPA is 4.77, 33 ACT, and ranked 1 out of 800. If I don’t get full tuition I probably won’t be attending though.
My son received admission decision & honors notification through the online portal last week. Snail Mail today brought admission big envelope and also a separate FA regular size letter. No mention of honors in snail mail. UASP notification in FA letter. Hope that helps those waiting for answers
@firstsax - although he was ecstatic with his award & has no problems with me sharing that info, his awards were bundled together in one lump sum figure, without specific info on the breakdown. So I’d really rather not post the award amount yet because I feel it would create confusion. I know it confused us at first! Lol. I will post once we get a final award that specifies how much for what.
As for his basic stats, 35/4.0UW, IS
ETA: to clarify… We honestly have NO IDEA how much merit aid was received. He was in the top tier for scholarships on the grid but that’s anywhere from 1/2 to full tuition. So presented as a lump sum only, we can’t contribute much yet on what stats tend to get what amount of aid.
Accepted on the 19th! ACT 29 (30 superscore), 3.84 UW, 4.0 W. No mention of honors program or scholarships. Looks like honors comes with acceptance, but does anyone know when merit will come? Thanks!
Did she ever receive an email asking her to confirm her application and create an account? I did it through common app and soon after received the emails.
