do you think my low sat scores will hurt my EA process?

Those scores aren't as low as you make them sound. You've got a 2160 composite.

I guess i am a little skeptical b/c i know people from last year with higher scores who were rejected EA.....

2160 is lower than average for an academic admit...siemens stuff and published articles (if they're legit...what journal?) can make a huge difference...bring the SAT up to the 2230+ range and you're in definitely, as it is now, maybe

well, does my 33 ACT score count for anything???
and my article thing is for the houston chronicle....

you should be a competitive applicant, but you need SAT IIs

okay so this is what i have right now
ACT 33
SAT 2160
SAT II math level2 800 bio 790 us history 740 physics 720
is that above the "average"

Those are very good scores. I don't know if they're "above average", but I doubt that getting higher SATs will make you any more competitive. No scores alone will get you in, but yours will not by any means keep you out.

did you perform a solo concert at Carnegie or was it part of an orchestra? Which state are you from btw?

stanford e.a. wouldn't be the most strategic... best bet would be another great school and try to reach for stanford during r.d.

Apply early to the school that is your first choice. Don't try to outsmart the system.
