December 9th is coming fast. 2 weeks from tomorrow.

...what happened to december 7th

wow. it's coming way too fast. i almost feel like not wanting to find out.

Man, I want to find out! Even if it's bad news, at least I'll know, instead of this ridiculous waiting. If I'm deferred, I'll probably go insane... but kept alive by the fact that I wasn't rejected. ;)

14 days left.....

Haha, yeah, I have a counter going on my desktop... it's kind of sad actually.

I also have a counter on my desktop.

Ahhh waiting is the worst part.

I don't want it to arrive because there's so many others things worth worrying about, or better yet working on, in the meantime. If over 300,000 children are going to die in the meantime and I can raise money to help 5 then it'd be time much better spent than time spent worrying.

So, you may ask, why am I on this site? Because I'm a hypocrite of sorts and figured I could find out when the mail was supposed to be sent. Oh well, thinking right is the first step toward acting right, I hope.

Ah, Steve, a good point you raise. Too bad I'm lazy as heck and the biggest procrastinator ever.

is there going to be a bereavement group for those who dont get in? like:

R.I.P. my hopes and dreams

or somethign like that. i might need it.

I'd def. join it too. :)

Are they releasing admissions online this year?

I remember driving home as fast as I could after school, driving up my dead end street to see just how long it would be until the mailman made it back down, sitting in my room, looking out the window, waiting for the mailman to drive by the street on a Monday afternoon as one of the most anxious days of my life. And of course nothing came that day.

Of course, on Tuesday, when I did the same thing and the mailman backed up from my mailbox and pulled into my driveway to deliver a package, I ran outside to meet him and pretty much scared the hell out of him, and looked at the tube in his hand, and started smiling. I must have smiled for the rest of the day.

In retrospect, getting the package was so much more exciting and fun than an 'ACCEPTED' on a website, even though I got my decision 5 days later than I could otherwise.

Good luck guys. It's tough waiting, but it's great when the day comes.

is the admit list ranked?

I doubt it.

And for the people who'll probably get deferred/rejected, better to know sooner than later, Spartan Pho3nix. :)

I don't know about that...
This on-line thingie looks the same as CollegeBoard uploading SAT results on midnight...with some people not being able to fall asleep...reloading the page every time it loads....Lol, online results seem so materialistic...and...and...not traditional... But I guess that since MIT is supposed to be a progressive institution.... :)
