Officially, Georgia Tech does not have an early action option.

I can’t answer OP, but I can say GT early action definitely exists.

Guess my information is out of date now. Looks like the PSP deadline is distinct from the “early notification” deadline. I thought they were the same when I applied.

I believe I read somewhere on this forum that 80% of the EA students are accepted HOWEVER there is no proof that this is due to them applying EA or just because they are generally higher quality students. Plus, as said before, this is a stat I remember reading on this forum - not the official website so I would take that number with a grain of salt tbh.

I don’t know if this helps, but out of the friends of mine who applied EA at my school, nine were accepted, one withdrew after being deferred, and one was rejected. However, a few of those nine were deferred initially, and, again, this is just out of my friends. There were a bunch of people from my school who applied to GT.
Note: We’re also all in-state.

Those accepted to GT during the earlier rounds of admission do NOT have any better chances than those applying in January. Tech’s early acceptances are extended only to those applicants who will obviously get in during regular admission. In other words, getting in early is actually harder than getting in during regular admissions. Furthermore, most people deferred from early admissions eventually get in through regular admissions, but this has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that they applied early. There is no chance that someone who would have been accepted during early admissions will not get in during regular admissions. While such a scenario may sometimes occur at the most competitive institutions in the country (think HYPSM, etc) where individuals “stats” are all very similar, this is not the case at GT.

thanks everybody!
@slight manifesto-more like a handful of salt! ;), fat chance that anybody has the time to actually go through all the threads and gather statistics of how many got in EA/RD!!
