When I called, I was told that they are still in the process of shipping some out and that will continue through mid january. She told me that if I do not hear in two weeks, I should call back. All of this I knew already so it was of little help. It sounded like a lot of people were calling because she sounded very rushed. I dont understand why my decision isnt in my hands yet. I submitted it 10/11

What time would be best?

I emailed the nursing undergraduate admissions because I know that they deal with nursing applications… still no response yet. I agree Reider… mine was processed 10/10 and its killing me that I still don’t have a response!

Congrats Mirrorrom!

Eastern Mass and still no letter…I want it!

D just got into honors college engineering with Dean’s scholarship. We are instate. Information came in the mail. Apparently they will update Spire after all the mailing is done. Check your usps mail everyday as they mail it in waves. Good luck.

now i am so worried. i have not received my letter yet, but my spire got updated. it used to be “your application is completed and under review”, but now it is “your application is under consideration for admission”. Although I have not officially received my decision yet, does that mean I am deferred?
I guess I did not get rejected at least… but does anyone know acceptance rate for defer?
I am very sad…

^ I don’t think that’s a deferral. It doesn’t sound like it. Don’t worry about it until you get your decision.

I guess we just have to wait for the letters now… Considering there’re no system to rely on or base our assumptions on

Yeah…it’s pathetic. The whole reason I applied was so I could get a decision earlier than my other more competitive EA schools. Now that I’ve gotten in somewhere else, I don’t need to wait for this, but the point is the $75 I spent on this was pretty much a complete waste.

Hi, I just received my acceptance to umass amherst.

I was a little disappointed, however, to find out that I had not been invited to the honors commonwealth college.
My stats:

2120 SAT
31 ACT
4.56 weighted gpa
top 5% in my class
captain for indoor and outdoor girls track
various leadership positions in clubs

I was just wondering how selective the honors college is and if I was that far from making it!

Thanks for any answers :)

I don’t know how or why you weren’t selected for the HC. Those are impressive stats and should be worthy. Sorry to hear.

Is anyone else’s spire saying “under consideration for admission” because mine says that too and now I’m worried.

@searcher, I agree. Those are much-above-average stats. What was your unweighted GPA? Maybe there was a problem there… but I don’t know. Your application seems really competitive for the HC.

Accepted online, no mail

3.8 gpa
1540 sat
Lots of good ecs, good essays and letters of recommendations

My school doesn’t have calculate the unweighted g.p.a, but I have yet to receive a B in any class, so if I am going off the typical A=4.0 scale, I think it would be relatively close to an A! Yeah, I was a little surprised at this too :(

@cmacchia i have that on my spire too… i found out about it last night, got panic (cuz i thought it was deferral), but now im ok…
i guess (I am hoping) it just means we will most likely receive our decision around mid-january
so i guess all we can do is just stop worrying about it…

No update online…

Accepted through the mail on Saturday, my spire account updated to accepted this morning.

SAT:1830
GPA:3.9
Extracurriculars: Very good
Essay and Rec’s: Gpod
