Accepted! I live in Chicagoland, Illinois. W GPA 4.33, UW 3.95. ACT 34. Accepted into Commonwealth Honors College. Still waiting on scholarships. Congrats to everyone accepted!

Got accepted in the mail today still no change on spire account. It still says “application is under consideration for admission”.
3.75 weighted GPA
28 on act
Great essay
2 varsity sports
And a lot if ec
$12,000 chancellors scholarship

I just received the acceptance letter in the mail today, and I actually did get invited to the honors college! On the spire account it had not said this, so for all those waiting, they will notify you if you’re accepted to the honors college through snail mail!
Feeling a bit better now :)

Searcher… Did it update anything on spire before you received your letter or did you get your letter first? Also when did you apply

reider:

My spire account would sometimes say “Congratulations
etc.” when I logged in and other times it would say my application was still being processed.
Try clicking on the admissions tab on the top of the screen and clicking “student center- new sdnt” because that was usually where it would say I was accepted.
I got more information the next day (today) in the mail though
good luck!

i applied on Oct 29

I am so worried. My stats are good for umass but I don’t know what is wrong and why I haven’t heard. I applied October 11th

Good( 3.69 weighted gpa and 1960 sat)
Good ECs and letters…

Congratulations to all of you that have been accepted! UMass is a great college! My son just completed his bachelor’s degree there-Class of 2014, Sport Management, econ minor, Comm Col. My D still hasn’t heard either through snail mail or spire. She is getting quite antsy! Here’s hoping the rest of the admit letters arrive by tomorrow!

Don’t worry about it. A lot of people haven’t gotten their decisions yet.

I got mine today via snail mail; I’m into molecular biology with a 2130, 4.0/5, decent ECs, etc etc. I’m guessing if there’s nothing about commonwealth honors college in said folder, then I’m not in?

Accepted today to Honors College and received $10,000 Chancellor’s Scholarship. First acceptance for me! Probably won’t attend, but very grateful for acceptance.

W GPA: 4.1
SAT: 2030

Did not apply for financial aid

Good luck to everyone else and congratulations to all those accepted!

@cmacchia
Are you in-state?

Accepted today as well but only to my second choice major (Sociology). I was denied from Isenberg unfortunately. I was a bit surprised by it but these things happen I suppose.

Stats for comparison:
GPA: 3.8/4.3
SAT: 2040 (1390)
ACT: 29
Decent albeit unspectacular EC’s. Part-time job took up a lot of time (25-35 hours a week often) but did a few clubs and a sport.
Thought essay and recs were solid but perhaps not
In State.

My S accepted with Chancellor’s 10K. Engineering, 3.9 GPA, 1950SAT (720 Math), soccer, work exp.

I am just upset with the timing. I understand they have thousands of applicants but what is the point of submitting your application early if people who submitted it much later are getting their decisions much earlier. Very aggravating.

@SahilC
No I’m out if state

My worries are over. I actually dreamt of getting in today and when I checked spire, it had the new student tab. Applied October 11th. 3.69 WGPA 1960 SAT. So happy!

Congratulations. I can’t believe anyone was in today to update the website. I thought nothing new would happen now until January. I guess now I have to start worrying again.

Got accepted to Isenberg for Sports Management on a 10K Chancellor’s Scholarship. Might not attend though…
