Me.. check my stats, i posted them earlier.

LuckyEights, you have some strong numbers. Perhaps your hearing this soon means you will be offered their honors program, but maybe it is random.

Well, I was not offered the honors program in the initial letter. However, does anybody know if the honors notification is sent later?

Do I still have a chance?

i applied early october

M-580

i think you have to apply for the honors program...but i may be wrong? and i think it is in the initial letter

guys, when you say great essays, isn't there only one essay for uconn?

Got my acceptance letter this morning. Awesome way to start off the holiday, best gift I received all day.

3.4 GPA
1350 SAT

Good luck to the rest of you!

For people getting acceptance letters now, when did you apply? I waited until almost Dec 31, heh... their email said to expect a reply in late January.

the EA deadline was 12/1....you didn't apply EA then

Do you think its easier or harder to get in out of state

My bad, I meant November 30, not December. I don't know why I was thinking last day of December when I posted that.

I got in to the University of Hartford. Yay me! I was almost sure they wouldn't accept me because of me graduating early. Maturity thing. I'm only 16. I'm now waiting for UCONN. I applied early action. My GPA is 3.12 and my SAT score was 1060 without writing and 1620 with writing. Anyone think I have a chance?

yeaa did you guys hear about the honors college with ur initial acceptance letter, or a later letter?

Also bigndude, what DONT you like about UCONN?

How are the dorms/food/etc...u know the important stuff lol.

i went last week and they were saying things about a mcD's,wendys ect in the new student union building...
btw they are undergoing a conn. funded 2.3 BILLION!! dollar renovation its crazy. Some schools flip over million but this is billion, you could build a whole new fricken school with that lol, but yea every single thing is being or has already been renovated completely. They started a while ago so theyre on phase 2.

EarlyGrad- are you instate?

tennis, Keep in mind that you need to keep your gpa up to stay in the business school ( I can't remember the exact gpa, but it is above a 3.0). Don't know how tough that is in a large flagship state school.

3 Q's

Do i have a better or worse chance of getting in being oos? (nj)

Is my major (marketing-business) a factor in the decsion, and if it is, is it harder to get into it?

and finally
Do they tend to favor High GPA or High SAT
or let me restate it this way
High GPA/ low-avg SAT
or
High SAT/ Low-avg GPA
which one is better at UCONN

i got in from NY with a 3.9 and a 1910

About the stuff in the student union. We are getting a Wendy's, Panda Express and some other food place yet to be officially announced. And about the billions in renovation. We finished UCONN 2000 that was 2 billion and we are now in Uconn 21st which is another 2 billion. All in all the way Uconn handles things is money. Every everything is new and awesome and high tech, it rocks.

Now for doogies question. Hmm what don't I like about UCONN, I pretty much like everything. I mean the food is really good for college but not that good. Lots of food choices. Dorms are all pretty good, I live in an older one but its still awesome we have a really close community in our building and even though it is old it is still ours in our minds. Umm the science buildings are all new and nice. Same for business. If it isn't new and nice odds are it is going to be rebuilt soon. For honors the people who got in last year where told in their acceptance letter. The honors thing is a joke though. Most people who are in honors think they are all high and mighty yet I know tons of people who beat their grades in the same class as honors kids.

im alittle below you with my stats though
89(3.4) and a 1630(1110 w/o writing) yeah ill admit it i blew the writing

oh and one more Q, the tour guide said it was rolling admission is this true?
I applied EA (obviously)
