I think that the earliest classes our school offers begins at 8 AM

I would pay for 4 am then sleep after. I don’t entirely avoid taking a class just cause it meets at 8:30 but I will put it off till next semester in hopes it will meet later. From what i’m told the earliest used to be 8 am but they pushed it back a whopping half hour due to most young adults don’t learn as well in early mornings.

I heard that the school that I’m transferring to has classes that start as early as 7 AM.

My earliest class for this Fall will be at 8am (Intro to Mathematics). Considering that last semester, I had to take up at 7am to commute for my 9am class and I’ll wake up at 7am this time because I’ll be living on campus, I’m not complaining much. At least I won’t have to deal with traffic on the way!

Why would one want to take a 4am class anyways? You’d be missing out on a lot of REM sleep - and I’m sure that you, IceQube (with your 2300 SAT score and whimsical “philosophy” threads), are smart enough to know full well the detriments of sleep deprivation: lack of REM sleep renders neuroreceptors insensitive to serotonin and norepinephrine, which leads to impaired cognitive function.

^I’ve got a celebrity stalker o.o.

Haha I <3 you Lucyan.

It’s not stalking when anyone who has read High School Life once will see 5 of your threads on the first page.

I’ve never had five of my threads show on the same page. My posts are too deep; only a few dedicated readers can actually understand what I’ve written and respond. Most people simply read my posts and realize that it’s way out of their league. “Oh, another post by IceQube? I think I’ll just ignore it - I can’t understand him anyway.”

As a result, most sink to the bottom rather quickly and before I know it, they’re gone :(.

Plus, I don’t put out that many threads at once.

No one would go to a 4 AM class. I stay up anywhere from 2-5 AM (welcome to college) and I doubt that I would go to a class that met anywhere in there, even if I am awake.

Plus, how many professors or lecturers are up that late? Not many. They usually adhere somewhat to normal 8-5 working hours.

I would pay for a 4 AM class.

You have to look at it from the administrative standpoint. The demand is extremely small. It’s already very unlikely they’d do it just because 10 or so people (let alone one) are interested.

@IceQube Posts are too deep? Whimsical language and long, unnecessary words turn people off, not it “being out of their league”. Hopefully you were just being sarcastic there.

Nope, I was being perfectly frank there.

I TA a class from 6-9 pm. I have 4 students lol. Easy grading YES!

my schools earliest classes are at 8am. However, since I am by no means a morning person my earliest is at noon hahaha

@IceQube Well that is truly astonishing.

We have some PE classes that start at 7:30 I think, but other than that, the earliest are 8 am. My earliest this semester is 9 am.
