<p>Looking online, the uva website says that the earliest you can switch from seas into clas is by applying in your 2nd semester. Is there any way you can switch earlier than that, like applying in your first semester and getting in 2nd semester?</p>
<p>I believe so. I know of at least three people who switched from A&S to Engineering before school even started, or vice-versa.</p>
