oh by the way, my english teacher says people do this kinda stuff, (like turn on each other and start fighting close to decisions time) because we are scared and feel the need to burn all are bridges and distance ourselves from everyone, kinda like hemingway or house.
even though that doesn't really work cuz the people on this forum don't really know each other. unless you do know each other.

Guys honestly this is stupid. I'm sure you both got in stop fighting. And angrygoldfish I didn't ask about me at all I just asked if they do financial aid stuff after you have been admitted or at the same time. I wasn't asking whether or not I got in. I didn't even say why I wanted to know that information.

^^^alright guys :)...GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

I'm not really pi ssed at all. I could care less what some kid online thinks of me. I just no longer do hw and messing with this kid is my entertainment for the night.

Ah, trolling. Such an enjoyable pastime.

I called Emory Admissions about the same thing. They said that the financial aid application is reviewed separatley from the actual application for admission, so I'm pretty sure the letter doesnt indicate anything of acceptance or not.

i wouldn't count on the letter...
we'll all find out in 2 wks

GossipGirl, correct me if I'm wrong but it seemed you were asking if they only worked on financial aid for admitted applicants. If they said yes, then you would know you were accepted if they requested financial aid information from you.

I'm pretty sure if the office requests financial aid information, it just means that they don't have it. At the very least, they process whether they have received financial aid forms for all students, not just admitted ones.

"Out of overwhelming curiosity, I was wondering whether the phrase "2009-2010 award" can be looked at as an implied acceptance...I don't believe yoga and other methods of relaxation can benefit me in this time of uncertainty."

Reply from Office of Financial Aid:

Thank you for your inquiry. The financial aid process is separate from the admissions process. We ask that all applicants who wish to apply for aid do so before they know their admissions status.

Sighs* well...I guess we will just have to wait. At least we can now close the case about the "implied acceptance."

Ok guys.

That means there is no connection between financial aid and admissions.

NOW WE WAIT!

did everyone get accepted who received the letter?
