Ok, I was reading through some other posts regarding New College and people who have already gotten in. Although, I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING! Ahhh!

Does that mean I didn't get in? I really hope I did, I mean, I live in Florida and my stats pretty much are in their range. GAH! I want to go there so badly! lol...I'm going to visit the campus tomorrow though...You'd think if I didn't get in they would've mentioned something when I arranged the tour...right?

I've already heard back from admissions (I got in!!), but I applied mid-october. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. Isn't the official notification date January 15?

When you go visit, talk to an admissions counselor and straight up ask. The admissions counselor for my area, Mitch, also happened to be the one who administered my interview, and I bothered the **** out of him.

Enjoy your tour! Hopefully I'll see you in Sarasota in the fall! :)

Okay, so the tour went really well! They are so nice there! And the campus is really cool. Too bad about no students though :/ At least I know somebody who goes there (friend's sister), and she seems to really love it, so that gave me some insight on student life. I think they just haven't reviewed my application yet over "council." But I think my admissions counselor, Molly, has looked at it, and doesn't seem too worried. She mentioned that for the next five days they are having a massive application review, probably for le procrastinators like me who waited until the day before the deadline 8D My mom said something to the effect of, "You've really made my daughter want to go here!" And she was like, " Haha, I'm so glad! But if you hate it, don't blame me!" Which, though I may TOTALLY be reading into this too much, seems like there is a good likelihood I'll get in...I don't know. College applications make me want to kick innocent woodland animals >:( (Well, not really, I actually love woodland animals, but you get the point)

Anwho, if I get in, I'll definitely hope to see you in the fall!

Grr...okay, I know what happened. Despite me turning in all the forms I needed to turn in well before Dec. 1, my asinine school didn't send my transcripts/teacher rec. until JANUARY 1 (despite me CLEARLY writing that the deadline for NCF was 12/1). Sooooo, apparently I'll have to wait until February 15, to find out. :(

I just got the letter today and got in! Here is a quick stat profile:

Weighted "UF style" or "Bright Futures Style" GPA (Which only counts academic classes and not electives)- 3.57

UNweighted typical cumulative GPA- 3.89

F.Y.I.- There were two C grades on my transcript.....Honors Bio Freshman year and Honors Physics Junior year. With all of this considered....the grades, GPA, AP classes, etc. there must have been something special about me! Test scores? Essay?
