Early Decision Application

Ok.... so I submitted my online application today (Dec 15), which is the deadline for the early action process. My mom told me that she had looked over the application a couple of weeks ago, and I thought I would just have to write the essays and submit it. However.... she apparently didn't see the "Certification" part which requires a high school counselor form and the fee form. So we printed those off, but there's no way that they'll be post marked by Dec 15.... does that mean that I will not make the early decisions deadline, or can those be submitted after the date (my transcripts are already sent off)? Ugh...

Oh... one more thing. I looked at the MAPS thing a few days ago and it requires 3 units of a single foreign language in high school for the College of Arts and Sciences. However, I only have two because that's what virtually EVERY student in Florida does, and that's the most that any college here requires. Do you think that will be a problem with my application?
Thanks for your help!

I doubt there will be a problem, but you should be asking the school, not us. The admissions office, while moderately overwhelmed this time of year, does aim to help you. The staff has regional assignments; find the one assigned to Florida and talk to him/her.

And I believe that MAPS requirements can be fulfilled when you are there (my sophomore D has yet to do her Geography requirement).

Thanks for the input. I have been in contact with my regional rep, and I contacted her last night right after I submitted the application. I just decided to ask you guys because you've given great advise before and, as I anticipated, were quicker than the admissions office lol.

Anyway, I hope you're right.

ya i called a few days ago and they said they are acccepting early apps a few weeks after the deadline

^ oh sweet. My status online says "Complete application recieved as of Dec 16, 2008." And my rep said that she'd mark in my application that the materials i sent in late were on the way, and that they'd start reviewing it as soon as they got them.

what are the dates for early and regular apps? My daughter is trying to decide whether to apply or not. thx.

The date for early decision/action or whatever it's called was December 15. So your daughter is too late for that. I'm not sure what the regular one is, but i'm sure it's not too late for that. Just check it out on the CU-Boulder website. They'll have all the deadlines and other information that you need.
