Has anyone seen any statistics yet on the number of applications William and Mary received for ED?

Given the storm that hit the Northeast last week we granted an extension to multiple students who were left without power. As such, and given that we’re still processing mail, we’re not yet ready to provide any stats on this year’s ED pool. We will certainly be able to provide that information by the time decisions are released.

I was at the Fall Focus event yesterday and a rep there said they are expecting over 1200 early applicants, but as mentioned above, they are not positive because of the storm.

If born2dance94’s numbers are accurate, that’s a pretty substantial increase over the number of early decision applicants in years past. Early decision sounds like it’s shaping up to be noticeably more competitive than last year.

Just happened to come across this article today which answers your question:

[The Early Line on Early Applications for the Class of 2016 - NYTimes.com](The Early Line on Early Applications for the Class of 2016 - The New York Times)

Up from last year, but only by 91 applications, or about 8.5 %. (1,167 this year, 1,076 for last years class).

about two weeks. tearing my hair out.

If it helps, your chances of getting accepted ED are basically that of flipping a coin and guessing the correct side that will face up.

Things to do while you wait:

-Begin reading War & Peace. If you are as slow a reader as I, you won’t even be close to done when you get your decision letter.
