Yup, they said the parent/peer evaluations are still available. However, I can’t seem to find it anywhere in the common app. I might submit mine through snail mail.

Why not submit your writing sample? I think it’s a good idea sending all you can to them And about the college essay… you’re not alone! I’ve revised and edited my essay so many times, but it seems to cliche and boring. :(

MaxRide: The peer/parent evaluations were in the physical supplement. If you want to have someone fill it out you would have to send it in. The application fee is still waived if you send in the supplement.

Pipermaru: I finished my essay and in the beginning I thought my essay was cringe worthy but after a month of writing it I like it. You should just keep working at it. I’m sure it will be amazing. :)

Hey guys! I will be doing ED1 for mount olyoke an I’m so nervous! I was just wondering… My supplement essay is really long. I answered the first question… And it’s like 789 words. It’s just about my experience and why I love the school. Do you think it’s wise for me to send this long essay… Or cut it down and strt from scratch?? I need input from fellow ED applicants!!! <3

If I were you i’d keep it short (MHC suggested around two to three paragraphs), after all it’s called the “short answers” portion. Mine has three paragraphs with around 300 words. But if you think your answer will benefit you and the admissions office, I think it’ll be okay. But try to keep it under 500 words; it will be unusual to read a longer “short answer” than the college essay :)

Hey guys, does anyone know where to submit the ‘verification of income’ thing? I know we have to send the CSS profile but we also need some proof of our family’s annual income right? How exactly do we send that to MHC? Snail mail? Scanned copies of the documents? Fax?

MaxRide, you have to mail in copies of your parent’s tax forms to the the financial aid office. You could probably fax it to them but I would call and ask them first. Hope that helps. :)

Has anyone submitted their application yet and gotten their student number from them? I submitted mine a few weeks ago and i havent’ gotten anything from them.

@jocelyn11395 - Thanks for the quick response. I just received an email from the admissions office and they accept emails as well. Along with fax. So that’s good to know! Snail mail from here to the US is really slow and I’m glad I get to avoid that mess. :)

Hi, I am also an early decision applicant. I just submitted my application yesterday and am so nervous! What do all of you plan on majoring in? I will probably major in international relations. Does anyone know when we find out if we are in/if we will receive any sort of username to check on the mount holyoke website?

@emohlee12345 - I applied as undecided, but I picked Politics, Economics and Computer Science as my academic interests on the supplement. But I’m still totally uncertain about what to major in. There are so many options!

I applied on the 14th and I haven’t received a username either. I think you have to ask them for it if they don’t send it to you after a while. I’m just going to wait a week or so before sending them a request.

Decisions usually come out before Christmas. I think MHC will send everyone an email reminding you to log into your account and check if you’ve been accepted/deferred/rejected.

Emohlee12345, I want to be a biochem major and I’m interested in art and languages. I submitted my app in mid oct and I called them a few times and they said they would be sending out the usernames soon to everyone by email. Unfortunatly, they didn’t give me an exact date. Hope that helps and I hope we get admitted too. :)

@emohlee12345 I applied as international relations as well!!! yay! I also picked studio art and I’m preparing a portfolio for Mount Holyoke
I applied on the 9th…and i’m so anxious!
and @maxride94 I was worried about the username thing… so I called in and talked to the admissions counselor. She told me that they haven’t sent it out yet… but will be doing it very soon. So keep on checking your emails!!!
Best of luck to ya’ll x

Just got my username a few days ago! So happy to see that some of you are taking bio and art studio, i’m having them as my major and minor if i do get in.

I just checked my status on their website and it turns out they still haven’t received my reports, transcripts, ED signatures and mid year report. But I asked my councilor whether he submitted them already, and he said he did. And I’m sure he did–I was there when he pressed “submit” on the ED agreement thing. It said on the MHC site “Please keep in mind that we may have these items in our office, but are still processing them.” Anybody else having this delay?

@Piper - My SAT scores were sent on the 18th according to Collegeboard and they still haven’t been received by MHC. I’m think it’s just a technical delay because I know there was a holiday in the US and they are probably off for the weekend as well so they might not have had time to update anything. I’m going to check again on Monday and hope for the best. But I’m right there with you on the worrying thing. :)

For me it says that the early decision signatures are missing my parent signatures. This is really odd because I know it was signed and I checked on the common app and the signatures are there. Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks for the reassurance MaxRide94, I forgot they had Thanksgiving there And emohlee12345, same here, but like MaxRide said, there might’ve been a delay due to the holidays. Hopefully they get through soon. :)

I had the same problem with them not processing my stuff. I called and they said that they process things in order based on what they get first so I wouldn’t worry too much as long as everything was submitted before the 15th.
Also, I think the admissions office was closed this whole week so that might delay things. Hope that helps. :)
