Looking Back at previous early decision notification dates… I’m thinking around dec 15/16-20th? I’m pretty sure we will be finding out before Christmas though!! ahhh can’t wait!!!

Thanks Itsatip95! I can’t wait either!! I check my application status all the time, im so anxious!! Is anyone thinking of a sport?

@Hanz11 - I’m thinking about trying out for the crew team. As a coxswain. I’m too short to actually row. What about you?

I am not very athletic but I have always wanted to try rowing. Is anyone here interested in volunteer work? Wow, I did not know we could find out that early! I check my application status everyday too haha!

@MaxRide94- I’ve always wanted to try crew, but I’m way too short I’m actually going to be on the track team. And emohlee12345, I do a lot of service with NHS, but I was hoping to find somewhere to volunteer with children around MHC.

No problem hanz11!!! Omg i really want to do horseback riding in Mount holyoke!! They have a great program there! I’m not athletic either, but horseback riding sounds fun haha. And Ive done a lot of community service with my church and my club I created at school, so I want to continue this is college. I’m so anxious guys! Few more weeks XD

MaxRide94, I want to join crew too!!! I’ve never tried it but it looks fun.
Itsatip95, I want to learn horse back riding too!
There are so many things i want to do.
I’m so nervous/excited! I can’t wait to find out!!

Has anyone done an overnight?

I’ve done an overnight visit. It was really fun and I got to learn a lot about the school I fell in love with it even more because of this!

I had no idea crew would be so popular! Wouldn’t it be awesome if we all got accepted and ended up on the same crew team?

@Hanz - I’m pretty short too but they need short people to be coxswains. You pretty much steer the boat and yell at the other rowers. Just my kind of thing. :)

I looked through the PE catalogues and Horseback Riding lessons cost quite a lot of money. Like, hundreds of dollars. So that’s out of the question considering I’ll be a very poor college student for the next 4 years. I would have loved to learn how to ride horses though.

Does anyone else spend all their time looking through the MHC website and their course catalogue? What are you guys going to major in?

I’m pretty set on majoring in neuroscience, and I was thinking about double majoring in biophysics.

I envy all of you, I’m no good with sports! Maybe horseback riding, but I don’t think my parents can afford it.

Wow Hanz, awesome majors! :D

By the way, is anyone here taking up art studio?

I’ve always wondered what you do with a neuroscience major. Are you planning on going to graduate school? Research? Med School?

I didn’t know Mount Holyoke had a biophysics major. Are you thinking about designing your own major? Because that would be so cool! I’m thinking about going into Physics and my mom thinks that just because I’m good at Biology, I HAVE to pursue it in college. So a combination of Bio and Physics would make her day!

@Piper - Do you mean taking a class in Art Studio? Or majoring in it? Because I wrote my supplementary essay on why I wanted to take a class about Paper Making (Art Studio 280, FYI). So I’ll probably take a class, but I’m terrible at anything art-y so I probably won’t major in it. :)

@MaxRide94- I’m planning on med school right now, but I would still like to go to grad school so I can get more of the research side MHC doesn’t have an actual biophysics major, but we could either design it or I do know that Amherst has a biophysics major, so it would be possible to take classes through the consortium.

@piper I’m thinking about double majoring in fine arts/international relations/art history. Haha I’m not too sure yet but i know I want to combine all of this somehow!!

Pipermaru, I really want to take Studio Art.
I really want to take paper making and sculpting. I’m thinking of minoring in it.
Hanz11, I want to go to med school too! I want to do A LOT of research
It would be awesome if I could double major in Biochemistry and Studio Art I would be happy :)

Wow, we all have so much in common! I’m having Biology as my major and Art as a minor. Itsatip and jocelyn, we’ll probably share lots of classes together! And maxride, that paper making class sounds interesting. Those paper bowls their professor made were amazing Hanz and jocelyn, me too! Bio will be my pre med Was so excited about mount holyoke i almost forgot about the consortium. :))

It IS pretty coincidental how we all have the same interests. Most of us are science-y with a love for the arts.

Random question, how are you guys dealing with the waiting game? I’m ready to pull my hair out!

The waiting is killing me. The first thing i do when i find a computer is to visit my ISIS and see whether there has been any progress! And every night i’d just imagine myself already in the college, sleeping in a dorm in Wilder with all the autumn trees outside. I sound crazy, but i’m sure you can relate :)

I’m so impatient already, so this waiting is driving me INSANE!!! Piper, you don’t sound crazy at all! I imagine waking up in Stafford and hanging out in the beautiful common rooms all the time! I can’t wait!!
