I concur. Who's up for relay story telling?

Ds's girlfriend got a likely letter from Wellesley today - she lives in Boston

omg, my heart jumped into my mouth reading that. I live in Texas, but the mail hasn't come yet!!!!!!! Oh gosh, time for obsessive checking of mailbox:)

Ahh I'm so scared! It's weird to think that their decision is in already on paper in an envelope. Darn midwest. I dont want to have to sit through Sunday and Monday not being able to check the mail.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

OMG, today or next week, three more hours i will know

Well, I picked up my mail today and there was nothing from Wellesley. Guess I'll have to wait until at least Monday. Wow, if we all get in, we will definitely be the biggest group of worry warts in history! LOL

coquettish where do you live? (state)

Yeah, nothing from Wellesley for me (in NJ) today... does the mail come on Monday (I don't know if they have off for Presidents' Day)?

carpe_diem1, I live in Virginia aka Hicksville.

the mail doesn't come on monday- so the next possible mail day is tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish they hadn't mailed the letters over a holiday weekend...that means I'll just worry constantly for the next 3 days.

coquettish, where in va?
im from fairfax, but it is in no way "hicksville"... proud to be from dc-metro!

good luck, in any case

nothing today. ack.

nothing in Canada..... sigh, i guess i have to wait until the 25th

If we're from Canada, does that mean we get ours like a week later?

Okay, so since this is not an official decision from Wellesley, the likely letter will come in a standard sized envelope, correct? Also, won't all of our "decisions" be received in different times due to when Wellesley receives and processes our Midyear Reports? My guidance counselor only sent it out recently so I guess I have a bit of waiting to do. Although, I did get straight A's, so the decision should be easier to make...hahaha

My friend told me that her sister got a likely letter last year that came in a standard sized envelope, so there's no difference between likely and unlikely and maybe decisions. Ahh imagine the suspense as you open it!

upsideofdown, oooooh, that is NOT nice! :-/ Ahhh...I wasn't really nervous but all of this talk is making my fingers edible...nibble nibble hahaha

If we get into Wellesley, we should volunteer in the admissions office. At the end of February, we catch all the likely letters going out and write what's inside on the outside of the envelope, so the receipt is kinder.

tkm256, I agree! The agonizing period of time during which prospective Wellesley student tears open her letter is so last century. Gosh! We live in the 21st century...we should eliminate human stress if at all possible.
