Earn honors credit as a CollegeFirst mentor this summer

My kids did this last summer and Bama let them “charge” the credits to the fall semester.

Dear Honors Student,

CollegeFirst is now recruiting high-achieving University of Alabama students to serve as mentors for our Pre-AP summer academic institute. If you would like to receive academic credit while making a difference in the lives of high-school students, CollegeFirst is an excellent opportunity for you!

Our program will take place in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Huntsville during the month of June. We invite high-school students enrolled in AP courses during the upcoming school year to receive three weeks of tutoring in biology, chemistry or calculus. Mentors will work in a meaningful and rewarding capacity as they guide the high-school students through college-level laboratory assignments and problem sets prepared by highly qualified AP teachers.

We would love for you to participate in the second year of this influential program. A flyer about CollegeFirst and a longer description of the program are attached.
I just read the detailed information on the link you provided. Does this program include housing? Do you know if the tutoring is all day for three weeks?

It’s not all day.

I would email Olivia to ask about housing options. ogrider@ua.edu
